Ajay Maken does not want to be responsible for Rajasthan, writes to Kharge | Latest India News

Fresh turmoil appears to have erupted again in the Rajasthan Congress as Ajay Maken has now written to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressing his willingness to continue leading the state — just over a month and a half after the Congress has witnessed a rebellion in Rajasthan over the prospect of Sachin Pilot becoming the likely chief minister should Ashok Gehlot step down as CM to run in the party’s presidential election.

In his letter to Kharge, Ajay Maken mentioned the September 25 developments and said it justified “the party’s interest in having a new Rajasthan official”. And the party should have a new responsible state before Bharat Jodo Yatra reaches Rajasthan in the first week of December.

“Married to the ideology of Congress for three generations and active in Congress politics for more than 40 years, I will always remain an ardent supporter of Rahul Ji, in whom I trust and have faith beyond words,” wrote Ajay Maken in his letter. .
