Allegany Limestone Graduate Joins Boundless Connections | Olean Team news

OLEAN – The Boundless Connections Technology Center in Olean has hired Brian Kelly, a 2015 graduate of Allegany-Limestone, as a program facilitator.

Kelly will jointly lead the TECH Launch and TECH Unleashed programs for participants ages 17 and 13-17, respectively.

A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a master’s degree in computer software engineering, Kelly owns Kelly Design and Development LLC, which provides web development, software development, marketing, consulting, tutoring, and installation support.

“Brian is a real asset to our team with his technical and interpersonal skills,” said Christina Lopez, CEO of Boundless Connections. “Not only is he a wealth of knowledge, but most importantly, he’s a kind and patient mentor who helps our members feel welcome.”

As a former TECH Launch member and now a business owner, Kelly brings a unique perspective to the TECH Launch program for adults seeking mentorship to pursue higher education, career goals and / or entrepreneurship.

Kelly also has a bachelor’s degree in application software development and an associate degree in computer information systems, both from Alfred State College. He has experience as a research and teaching assistant at RIT and has volunteered as a mentor at St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy in Buffalo to help children from different backgrounds collaborate and recognize each other’s experiences.

“I’ve always wanted to make the world a better place through technology, and I believe Boundless Connections is the perfect way to do that,” said Kelly. “I am consistently surprised by the excellence and dedication of our local youth and the brave inspiration of our ‘experienced youth’ who want to learn more about the constantly evolving technical field.”

The goal of Boundless Connections is to help community members keep pace with the rapid pace of technological change, meet the demands of a dynamic and evolving workforce, while helping members develop basic skills.
