West Ham United’s pursuit of Emerson Palmieri in this transfer window has been one of the most fascinating stories when it comes to calciomercato the stories go. They expressed interest in the Italy international, backed down on disagreement on personal terms and then backed off two days later. Luckily, for everyone involved, the story seems to be coming to an end.
According fabrice romano, Chelsea and West Ham are now in full agreement on the transfer fee, with the Hammers apparently willing to pay us £13m in fixed fees plus £2m in additional fees. In retrospect, that’s not a bad commission at all, given that Chelsea bought him for £18million four and a half years ago.
Of course, the sticking point remains personal salaries and other things like agent commissions, but there is optimism that an agreement on all terms will be reached in due course.
Emerson made 71 appearances for the club during his time with us and won the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FA Cup with Chelsea. Let’s hope he gets his desired move in the next few days.
Emerson Palmieri’s deal has been fully agreed between the clubs since yesterday, £13m fixed fee plus an additional £2m. There are still things to discuss on the player side. ⚒️ #WHUFC
