Fantasy Island Episode 6 recap
In the sixth episode of Fantasy Island, titled The Big Five Oh, Ruby and Elena greet a group of high school friends who want to celebrate their 50th birthday on Fantasy Island. Although excited about the trip, each of them have been through different types of hell. Nettie divorced her husband after realizing he cheated on her. Margot gave birth to triplets at 47 and is exhausted while Cam is consistently single.
Elena takes Margot to a sanctuary where she is well rested. Nettie eventually meets a young man, Doctor Tristan Alexander, while Cam has thinned. Elsewhere, Elena and Javier decide to stay friends despite having sex, which seems like the right thing to do. Tristan’s presence at the party doesn’t fit well with the rest of the gang, so Nettie confronts him and he leaves, apologetically, asking her to ride the next day.
However, Nettie is mad at Cam, which leads to an insoluble argument within the group. Margot helplessly seeks advice from Elena, who directs her to a self-care regime. Margot solves her problems with Nettie, but asks her to be gentle with Cam. At the girls’ evening with Segundo and Dr. Gina unwittingly talks to Elena about her feelings. Elsewhere, Nettie’s anger builds when she sees Cam leave Tristan’s room.
Before the situation worsens, Elena abducts her to a funeral home, where they see Margot’s body resting in a coffin. She is discouraged after seeing the vision, but Elena reminds her that she is the only one responsible for her future. So Margot decides to make self-care the most important aspect of her life. Cam ends up telling Nettie that she has cancer, while Nettie admits that she is jealous of Cam’s bubbly personality.
