Liverpool believe they can get £15m Nat Phillips transfer fee

Liverpool have reason to believe they can secure a £15million transfer fee for Nat Phillips, according to reports. The defender returns to Anfield this summer.

This comes from the echo of Liverpool. They claim Liverpool see a £15million transfer fee on the horizon for Nat Phillips. The 25-year-old is currently on loan at Bournemouth, where he earned promotion this season.

In fact, Liverpool have already made money from the centre-back. Bournemouth’s promotion triggered a bonus which took the total loan fee to £1.75million. Any transfer would be on top of that, of course.

And the Reds believe they are looking for at least £15m this summer. That’s because they believe interest is only growing in Phillips – it won’t just be the Cherries hoping for his signature. Liverpool can then raise their price, assuming they are right about multiple clubs being involved.

With any luck, Phillips’ total cash flow in 2022 could approach £20million.

Liverpool want big Nat Phillips transfer fee

Phillips played a big role for Liverpool last season. This time last year he was a regular in the Premier League as the Reds finished third. He also received praise from all corners, with Jurgen Klopp calling him ‘absolutely amazing’.

But they knew he might not stay. Competition is now fierce at Anfield and reports last summer also had his price tag at £15m. However, no one paid him.

Perhaps six months of top football wasn’t enough to convince the teams. Phillips now has six more months at senior level, with his move to Bournemouth. It must also be said that the two teams that have constantly played against the 25-year-old have also achieved real success.

So we imagine Liverpool are right and someone will pay £15million to sign him this summer. It might even end up looking like a bargain.
