The Spaniard signed a five-year contract last summer so Brighton, from a negotiating point of view, are in a strong position. But, it may be a deal they’ll have to accept in the end, and owner Tony Bloom has acknowledged that they’ll have to think carefully about any offer that comes to their door regarding Cucurella.

Pep Guardiola has Marc Cucurella as his number one target, but there are other players on the list for Manchester City. VFB Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa is an interesting player, City are likely to make an offer for the player if Brighton don’t lower their price.

Will Manchester City complete the signing of Marc Cucurella?
