The print edition of Corriere Fiorentino (02/08/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed Fiorentina would be willing to sell Nikola Milenkovic for a reduced fee amid Tottenham interests.

La Nazione reported earlier this week that Tottenham were among the suitors to sign Milenkovic, who has just 12 months left on his contract with Fiorentina.

The report says the Serie A club could potentially explore a swap deal for Giovani Lo Celso if Spurs move on to the Serbian.

Corriere Fiorentino have now revealed that Tottenham, Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are all hot on the trail of Milenkovic.

The report claims that Antonio Conte is a fan of the 24-year-old and wants to bring him in as a replacement for Japhet Tanganga who is expected to leave Spurs.

It is suggested that the Lilywhites will conduct “in-depth studies” in the coming days to find out how much Milkenkovic will cost.

Corriere Fiorentino add that Fiorentina’s asking price for the centre-back is expected to be around €15m (£12.5m).

Boosts web opinion

Milenkovic will fit Conte’s system perfectly and would be an upgrade on both Tanganga and Rodon. Signing the Serbian for a cut price would also allow Spurs to spend big on another luxury striker like Nicolo Zaniolo.
