Tuttosport have claimed that Inter Milan could now sell Tottenham target Milan Skriniar on a cut-price deal in January as talks over a new deal with the centre-back have not gone as planned so far .

Skriniar’s current contract at San Siro expiring next summer (transfer market), the centre-back has been offered as a target for the likes of Tottenham (FCInterNews), Manchester City, Chelsea (The sun) and Barcelona (Mundo Deportivo) over the past few weeks.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio said last week that Inter would offer a salary of around €6-6.5m (£5.2-5.7m) a year to the 27-year-old, who would be less than what Paris Saint-Germain were ready to offer this summer (Semper Inter).

If TuttoSport’s latest update is to be believed, the Nerazzurri’s talks with Skriniar over a new deal haven’t been productive so far.

The report states that Inter are worried about losing the Slovak for free this summer and therefore consider selling him in January.

It is explained that PSG could reignite their interest in Skriniar and that Simone Inzaghi’s men could sell the defender to the Ligue 1 giants for a fee of around 20-25 million euros (17.3-21.6 million pounds) when the transfer window reopens.

Boosts web opinion

There is no doubt that we need to improve Davinson Sanchez as I don’t think the Colombian is good enough to even be a substitute, if we are to have any aspirations to compete with the best teams in the Premier League.

However, I think the club will probably wait until next summer to do so. I don’t think a centre-back is a priority for the North Londoners in January, even though Japhet Tanganga is on loan.
