Sean Dyche is now leading the charge for West Brom vacancy

Keane was immediately installed as the favorite of the bookmakers after the dismissal of Steve Bruce on Monday morning. But the former Manchester United star had no interest in taking the job in the first place.

“I think I’ve been favorite for a few jobs over the last year, it was all nonsense,” Keane told Monday Night Football. “It’s the same as the speculation of the last 24 hours – absolute rubbish!”

Former Burnley boss Dyche is now the 2/1 favorite and tops the polls of many West Brom fans as well. But he is rumored to be waiting for a Premier League job.

Wigan boss Leam Richardson has been driving the market higher in the past 24 hours and is hiding at the 4/1 best price. While former Huddersfield and Olympiacos boss Carlos Corberan is close behind at 5/1.

According to reports, talks have already started with Corberan, who led Huddersfield a touching distance from the Premier League but then failed entirely in Greece.

Former Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder hangs in there at 6/1, while Scott Parker has drifted at 8/1.

Bolton boss Ian Evatt (16/1) and Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna (20/1) have now joined the fray, as has Everton first-team manager Paul Clement (16/1) who didn’t have much joy as manager of Derby, Swansea, Reading and Cercle Brugge.

One looming presence in the market that won’t sit well with many West Brom fans is that of Sam Allardyce, who led the club to relegation from the Premier League in 2021.

Big Sam is currently placed at 16/1 with some bookies in the highly unlikely event that the Baggies board wants another round on this ride.
